"I would like to nominate my parents, Mike and Linda Stevens. They do so much for my family that I would like them to be recognized and thanked by being "Grandparents of the Year." they have always been an active part of my children, Barrett and Lexi's, lives. But when my daughter was born, and her life was at risk, their true love shown through even more! She was born in Kansas, but within 24 hours had to be life-watched up to Michigan. She stayed there for two months, and then in Kansas for another. During this time, we had enormous support from Grandma and Grandpa, from mailed packages, phone calls, and financial assistance, all while they took care of Barrett while he stayed here in Kansas and my husband and I were in Michigan with Lexi.
