"I am nominating my mother because she treasures her grandson so much that she refuses to lose heself in grief. She focuses on love & happiness - remarkable in that she has lost her son and husband in a short period of time. She appreciates the good things and people in this world - and takes one day at a time.
  'Nana' Wetherill has inspired people of all ages with her love, strength, courage. She lost her only son at the age of 27 to Juvenile Diabetes only weeks before the birth of her first grandchild. Although consumed with grief, she was able to show love, happiness & gratitude for the gift of her grandson.
  Pamela was active in school events with her children, church, and the care of her ill parents."
