"Thank
God for Kids...and
Grandkids, too."
William
Lee Golden, shown here singing "Thank God
for Kids...and Grandkids, too" is perhaps the most
colorful of the world famous OAKRIDGE BOYS.
Mr. Golden was raised in Brewton, Alabama. His older
sister Lanette taught him to play the guitar and for a
number of years, they performed duets on their
Granddaddy Golden's local radio show. William Lee
knew even then that he wanted singing to be his career.
The Oakridge Boys have enjoyed three decades of
success, in big part because they keep their show
oriented to the entire family. Grandparents, parents,
children, grandchildren--that's their focus,
onstage and off. Space does not permit the listing
of all the children's charities that the OakRidge
Boys support, but they are legend.
So Happy Grandparents Day to one of America's
best loved quartets--and thanks for all you do.
